Low Appetite in Seniors
Generally, seniors complain about the food being served to them irrespective of its quality and they show less interest in taking a meal.
This is because there is an altered taste perception.
Due to anemia or vitamin deficiency, their tongue may have blisters, mouth ulcers, or fungal infection, which causes discomfort while eating. A close look at the tongue may show redness and inflammation.
All the above conditions can be easily treated at home.
